Baratti is a small town on the Tuscan coast located in the center of a large natural gulf.
The town is a coveted summer tourist destination and an important archaeological area. In fact, in its territory ancient finds, artifacts, tombs and temples made by the Etruscan people have come back to light.
Inside the Archaeological Park , the most important in the Val di Cornia, there are both beaches and woods. In fact, although the coast is the most popular area, the hinterland also reserves beautiful surprises.
The dense Mediterranean scrub behind the beach is crossed by numerous paths ideal for trekking and mountain-biking , but also for pleasant horseback riding . Along the routes you are completely surrounded by nature, its sounds and its aromas. The most beautiful itineraries allow you to admire exceptional landscape views overlooking the sea and to come across ancient votive altars, necropolis and early Christian churches.
The pure and crystalline waters of the Gulf of Baratti are ideal for scuba diving, sailing trips and fishing trips. The sea in this stretch of coast is not a cause for concern even for the little ones because the water level remains low up to many meters from the shore. The wide golden sand beach , for its part, is perfect for relaxing in the sun or having fun with the whole family.
